My coach, Dan Sullivan teaches that there are four “habits” that make you worthy for people to recommend you to others:
#1. Show up on time. It shows respect for those with whom you are meeting.
#2. Do what you say. It’s a matter of integrity. Can I trust that you’ll actually do what you committed to do?
#3. Finish what you start. Starters are a dime a dozen. Finishers are the great accomplishers who get admiration and make a difference in the world.
#4. Say “please” and “thank you.” These are social graces; the lubricant that reduces friction between us and the coolant that dissipates the build up of “heat” that we create between ourselves.
